Yosemite N.P. Tunnel View. Photographer: Christina Adele

Our first Yosemite National Park offering from Christina Adele, aptly named Tunnel View, certainly offers up the majesty to be found in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains.

A misty fog fills the air as the majestic mountain peaks break the skyline as a gloomy morning yields to a bright, sunny fall day. Crisp evergreens litter the foreground. The scene is simple yet complicated. You could almost imagine the fauna conducting its nature.

Yosemite, originally made famous by the photographer Ansel Adams,  officially opened to the public in 1933 and has been a favorite vacation spot for so many throughout the years since. Notable landmarks include: El Capitan, the Half Dome, and the Bridalveil fall. Fun fact: Bridalveil is called such due to the white water of the falls creating this Bridalveil appearance. Bridalveil falls is taller than the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington!

It’s difficult not to feel that you are standing at the Tunnel viewpoint when viewing the completed puzzle. The mist/fog adds to the difficulty but adds a pleasant variety to theme of trees, mountains, sky. The lack of puzzle dust and the satisfying heft of the individual pieces add to the enjoyment of working this puzzle.
